Well, I was thinking about the huge responsibility I had, you know…Well, I was excited about it, but I was really scared. I had very little trial experience. I thought it was going to be hard, and I thought that, you know, there weren’t any other JA (Japanese American) women who had been judges before, so I thought it was really important for me to do a good job. So, I felt a lot of responsibility. I was excited, but I was scared.
