最初はみんな農業で、内陸部に行って、コーヒー農園で働いたりしてたんですけど、コーヒー農園での契約が終わると、そのままそこに残ったり、あるいは違う、なんて言いますかね、農場を探して行ってみたり、あるいはあの平野運平のようにですね、グループができて、それこそ、サンパウロ州の内陸部に安い土地を買って、そう言ったところを開拓して、農業やったと言うような人達がいれば、もちろん農業をやる人だけではなくて、そのさっき言ってた私の戦前に行ったそのくましたと言う家の人たちのように、飲食店をやったりですね。それから洗濯、洗濯屋さん、それから、まあそういう、あるいはその朝市、フェラって朝市でその今度はその野菜とかそういう、生鮮食料品を売るような仕事をするような人達も、増えていったということなんですね。 ですから、日本人が農業と切っても切れない関係があると言うのは、そういう関係から出て来て、農業をやって、それでまあ成功して、段々大規模な農業をやるような人も増え、あるいは都会に出て来て、子供を教育しながら、そう言ったその小さな商売をやるような人も増えてきてですね。
