Chicago JACL is pleased to once again present its regular Teacher Training Workshop, "What It Means to Be an American," exploring the similarities between the World War II experience of Japanese Americans and the post 9/11 experience of Americans of Middle Eastern descent. The workshop will be held at Hubbard High School on 6200 South Hamlin.
It is co-sponsored by the Chicago Public Schools, and is intended primarily for social science teachers K-12, but all are welcome. Registration begins at 8:30a and the program begins at 9am and ends at 4 p.m.. CEU's are available for CPS teachers. The fee is $20 payable to the Chicago JACL. The fee covers the curriculum guide, education materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Space is still available.
