This photo was taken on July 15, 2007 at the Orange County Buddhist Church Obon. It was my first time to the church and I was impressed by how large their grounds are.
All around the church grounds were examples of Japanese-style gardening. There were very nice matsu (pine trees) like this one carefully pruned. There were stone lanterns and other traditional Japanese garden elements.
